Refund Policy

At StoryVault, we are committed to delivering exceptional editorial and publishing services. Because our work is bespoke and begins immediately upon engagement, our refund policy reflects the nature of creative and intellectual labor.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a partial or full refund under the following conditions:

You request a cancellation within 48 hours of purchase and no work has commenced.
StoryVault fails to deliver the agreed service within the specified timeline without prior notice or mutual agreement.
The delivered work materially deviates from the agreed scope of services.

Non-Refundable Services

The following are non-refundable once work has begun:

Ghostwriting and manuscript development
Developmental and line editing
Proofreading and copyediting
Cover design and interior formatting
EPUB / PDF / Kindle file preparation
Publishing setup on Amazon KDP, Apple Books, or other platforms

Revision Policy

We offer revision rounds as specified in your service agreement. Dissatisfaction with creative direction does not constitute grounds for a refund if the work meets the agreed brief. We encourage open communication throughout the process to align expectations.

How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request, contact our team within 7 days of delivery with a written explanation of your concern. We will respond within 3 business days.

Terms of Service

Services Provided

StoryVault offers professional publishing services including:

eBook ghostwriting and manuscript development
Developmental editing, line editing, and proofreading
Interior formatting and layout design
Cover design and brand identity for publications
EPUB, PDF, and Kindle file preparation
Publishing and distribution setup on Amazon KDP, Apple Books, and other platforms

Engagement & Payment

Services commence upon receipt of a signed agreement and initial payment. All fees are outlined in your individual service proposal. Milestone payments may apply for larger projects.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, all rights to the completed work are transferred to you, the client. StoryVault retains no claim to your manuscript or published work. We may request permission to reference the project in our portfolio, which you may decline.

Client Responsibilities

Provide accurate briefs, source materials, and timely feedback.
Ensure you hold rights to any third-party content submitted to us.
Comply with the publishing platform's terms (Amazon KDP, Apple Books, etc.).

Limitation of Liability

StoryVault is not liable for platform rejections, sales performance, or third-party distribution delays. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Billings, MT.

Modifications

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
